With a 5mt south westerly swell approaching I set off at 5am towards the point breaks that would normally break with this type of swell. After stopping at Lauderdale Beach to check the point (with great disappointment) and watch the sunrise I saw Mount wellington covered in snow. I had always wanted to get shots of Mount Wellington from Dorans Point Road so I jumped on the opportunity. I stopped at Dorans Point road for about 45 minutes getting several shots and a time lapse (see video post's on my Facebook page)
Then onto South Arm to check out the beaches which was huge disappointment. For what ever reason the swell was no where near what had been predicted so I grabbed some snaps at RSL's then went to Tranmere to get a few more snow pics.
